In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

There is no doubt in my mind: something is deeply wrong with modernity.

As an educator, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with people from all over the world. Through these conversations and relationships, one thing becomes clear—disenchantment with the modern world is spreading. People are quietly, or sometimes loudly, sensing that something vital is missing.

The pattern is familiar:
Go to school.
Get a job.
Become domesticated.
Enslaved by consumerism and shackled by interest-bearing debt.

But the human being longs for more than just routine and survival. We need a why. As children, we relentlessly ask our parents, why? But as we grow older, society quietly tells us to stop asking. To fall in line. To keep moving.

But we will not stop asking.
We must not stop asking.

Ollamh Media is the home for all of my work. It hosts a range of content, primarily:

The Muslim European — a newsletter exploring issues relevant to both Muslims and Europeans, with a special focus on those who find themselves at the intersection: Muslims of European heritage.

Miscellaneous — a mix of past projects and new reflections, largely focused on education and pedagogy, with the occasional philosophical or cultural insight.
